The State of Ohio needed a technology platform and a change management program to consolidate and migrate hundreds of state websites. A platform that would digitally transform the Ohio citizen experience, simplify the technology stack, improve security, reduce cost, increase speed and be ready for new technologies while avoiding the typical political minefield of a large organization.
WPS Military and Veterans Health (MVH) was operating 4 portals – 2 beneficiary portals and 2 provider portals–that offered multiple challenges. From an organizational perspective, simple updates were complex, time-consuming, and usually required additional involvement from the IT team. Workflows to update content were complex, product updates were difficult and performance at times was unacceptable. From a user point of view, the portals were confusing to navigate, locating information was difficult, users often had to revert to paper-based transactions, and submissions by providers were less than satisfactory.
Food Scientists creating new flavors for PepsiCo products work in a global environment with specialized equipment spread across 6 countries over 4 continents. Often to complete a product development cycle, equipment and knowledge from multiple locations is required. To plan development, scientists needed to understand equipment characteristics, configuration and availability and then schedule the equipment for use. Once a cycle is completed, results had to be published for future refinement and sharing. Scientists were required to use multiple systems to complete product development and testing cycles.
